Arrowstreet Capital?
Hi all,
I'm an undergrad in the Boston area studying physics/finance and am interested in Arrowstreet Capital. I am planning to get into contact with the firm to learn more about it, but does anyone know anything about the firm so I can go into the call with somewhat informed questions? Investing methodology (from the website it says quantitative/systematic, but how does that compare to a place like Citadel ?), comp, WLB? It also says on their LinkedIn that Arrowstreet manages over $100BN, which almost seems too much given the size of the team (Two Sigma, for example, manages $60BN). Does anyone know what's going on with that? Thanks!

I would be surprised if comp is competitive with a hedge fund like Two Sigma or Citadel, but I'm not certain. Hopefully others with more experience with the firm can chip in.

The claim is that the developers research team start at 400k comp, not sure how much of that is the signing bonus, which is fair. Not sure about research associates. Though, the h1b base salaries page seems to indicate lower for some reason: https://h1bdata.info/index.php?em=arrowstreet&job=&city=&year=2022

Extremely helpful, thank you!
Personally see them more of AM than HF , thus pay and wlb etc follows a slightly diff path.
won't go to details, did see handful of data points with new grad getting 300+ but it's far from the norm. Def more balanced exposure vs traditionally value exposed quant shops.
300+ without including the signing bonus?
