Those crossover funds separate who works on private vs. public investments usually. Most of them are pulling back from private investing, so they probably aren't hiring VCs for another year or two at the least. Also, if you're doing VC at those places, then you can potentially lateral to do VC at a crossover fund, but I wouldn't expect to move downmarket to growth or public investing.

Yes, very achievable. Coatue in particular regularly poaches people from other venture firms. If you're at a tier 1 shop, you should be a very competitive hire at many other firms. This is assuming you're staying on the private venture/growth side of the house. Would be difficult to transition to public equities, if that's what you're asking.
